nba championship history

NBA championship history, at least when it was first archived, began in 1947 and continues on to today.  The number of games, best out of seven, has remained the same.  The honoring of MVPs began in 1969 with Jerry West of the Los Angeles Lakers.  The most recent, in 2008, was Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics, a University of Kansas alma mater.
