Imagine
the person(s) who must compile all nba records from the statistics of each
player, each category, each game, each season. If your mind works in
this way and loves to compare nba records, click on links below and see
the best and worst of it all.
Hearing and knowing
about this information makes watching games a bit more interesting and
it's a good tool for filling the airwaves during time-outs, for
example. When the TV screen or announcer mentions the latest record
made or broken, as a fan, that can be exciting, to be
"there-now" when that happens.
"Regular season,
playoffs, Finals, teams, coaches players -- you name it, we've got it.
You may know who holds the record for most points in a playoff game
(initials M.J.) but do you know who "awakened" to score 39
points in one half in a postseason game against the Lakers? Which team
has won the most NBA games? How about playoff games? A quick perusal
through the NBA.com Stats and Records will reveal that, and a whole lot
more." http://www.nba.com/history/records/index.html
"Every sport has
its records. The NBA is no different. However, some of the records in
the NBA are so amazing, so ridiculous, that they will never be broken.
The only place most of these records will ever be broken is by some
college kid, skipping class, and playing a season on his PS3."
"You may notice that the name
"Wilt Chamberlain" figures prominently on this list, and with
good reason. When compiling the list, Wilt's name popped up
approximately 10,000 times. This was likely because I made my list by
interviewing 60 year old women. But, it shows the dominance that Wilt
had over the game...and the ladies." http://bugehoobs.com/sports/nba_s_most_unbreakable_records

This
site doesn't try to cover all records but provides the information
quickly in tables with the category, record and name. "You
can find here all NBA Individual Records for Rebounds, Assists, Steals
and Blocked Shots."

If you like trivia,
this page tests your knowledge. Do this for fun or see how well
you can remember trivia--good practice for sports announcing when you
must be able to talk, inform, defend, share, and confirm your
knowledge. Basically, know what you're talking about, especially
for those times when a monitor (they can break) isn't giving you the
information. http://www.funtrivia.com/quizzes/sports/basketball/nba_records.html
