 It's
hard to avoid being reminded in late summer and early fall about football
because of pre-season games and the start of college football and news of
even high school games at your local news channel.
So when does nfl season
start? "Officially" the nfl season "usually"
starts in early September of that year. For example, in 2008, the
first game was on September 4th between Washington and NY Giants.
Go to the official
NFL site and click on the field that says, "Select The Week"
for the current year. It will provide the date the first games will
be played, i.e., information you want to know for week #1, when the
nfl season officially starts.
