epic movie is a spoof on many other movies from Superman to The Lion, the
Witch and The Wardrobe. It
seems to be part of human nature to make fun of blockbusters.
It’s an offhanded way of laughing at our own selves as we
celebrate by poking fun at what we like. The fact we can laugh at ourselves, the masses, means we leave
the gods to be gods while we remain human beings, with flaws and all.
While reviews for this
movie may not have been stellar, imagine a world where no one can poke fun
at anything. Things like the
“epic movie” are a necessity.
